Jonathan Passmore – Bio

Jonathan Passmore is an international respected psychologist. He is Professor Catedrático for Leadership and Coaching at the University of Evora, Portugal, where he supervises academic research in the areas of leadership and coaching. He has also worked for the Open University and University of East London, where he founded the UK’s first Coaching Psychology post-graduate masters programme in 2008.

Jonathan is a regular commentator in the media. He has written widely with over twenty books, and over 100 articles and book chapters. As a result he is one of the UK’s most published chartered occupational psychologists.

He is qualified in a wide number of psychometric tests, which he uses with his clients to help develop insight and understanding, as well as undertaking formal assessments for employers, usually for the board. He has also jointly contributed to the development of a number of new instruments for use in leadership development and decision-making.

Jonathan is managing director of Embrion, a UK psychology consulting company which helps organizations develop high performance cultures. Prior to this Jonathan has worked for several large consulting companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, IBM Business Consulting and OPM. He has held several board level roles in the public and private sectors, including chief executive and chairman.

Jonathan’s personal coaching clients include members of the cabinet, MP’s senior business leaders and organizational managers across small, medium and large companies.

In addition to personal coaching work, Jonathan leads the leadership and behavioural change projects at Embrion, with a team of a dozen colleagues. Embrion’s recent clients include Talisman, Clancydocwra, Technip, IKEA and Burberry.

Jonathan travels the world and regularly divides his time between London, Houston and Aberdeen, Scotland.
